The best way to know the self is feeling oneself at the moments of reckoning. The feeling of being alone, just with your senses, may lead you to think more consciously. More and more of such moments may sensitize ‘you towards you’, towards others. We become regular with introspection and retrospection. We get ‘the’ gradual connect to the higher self we may name Spirituality or God or just a Humane Conscious. We tend to get a rhythm again in life. We need to learn the art of being lonely in crowd while being part of the crowd. A multitude of loneliness in mosaic of relations! One needs to feel it severally, with conscience, before making it a way of life. One needs to live several such lonely moments. One needs to live severallyalone.

They were moving from one place to other. One of them was driving and the other was looking outside.

They were not talking to each other. None of them questioned each other why they were mapping the city roads that late in the night when it was pouring incessantly.

Probably, rain was the reason that kept them hooked to the motion of their thoughts that found a continuum in the motion of their vehicle – from one street to other – from one road to other – from one landmark to other – from one pathway to other.

They understood each other and felt it was a mutually agreed thought to spend some ‘more’ time like that with no care to define that ‘more’.

They both found their points - and their music of the moment in the falling raindrops.

For the moment – they wanted to remain in those moments only.

The one who driving was in an ecstatic mood after a rewarding day and was looking to find the resonance of his elated mind in the nature’s music but in a ‘restrained, balanced and peaceful’ way – on a raining, enlightened night – something that he had come to feel during the drive so far.

His companion, the friend, was pensive after a long day that had not gone the way it should have. It didn’t matter anymore if it was expected or unexpected. He was looking out in the dark, with the flow interrupted with flashes from lightning and streetlights, to clear his mind of thoughts, to get onto the path of healing, hoping the raining night would be able to enlighten him to read the next.

The night was getting younger. And it was still raining.
