The best way to know the self is feeling oneself at the moments of reckoning. The feeling of being alone, just with your senses, may lead you to think more consciously. More and more of such moments may sensitize ‘you towards you’, towards others. We become regular with introspection and retrospection. We get ‘the’ gradual connect to the higher self we may name Spirituality or God or just a Humane Conscious. We tend to get a rhythm again in life. We need to learn the art of being lonely in crowd while being part of the crowd. A multitude of loneliness in mosaic of relations! One needs to feel it severally, with conscience, before making it a way of life. One needs to live several such lonely moments. One needs to live severallyalone.

Morning chores at Ganga

A morning walk across the Ganga ghats, floating in the mystic air that touches the motherly flow, watching the halo of Sun expanding from the horizon, taking a dip in the stream, is simply amazing, an awesome way to begin your day in the lap of the spiritual heritage of Kashi.

For many, living in the near vicinity of Ganga, the day begins with their morning chores done at the holy river. But for many of this ‘many’, it is irrespective of how it harms the eternal flow at one of the most pristine Ganga locales, Varanasi. This gentleman is just one among many who shave, bathe, wash clothes and leave the pollutants in the river stream.

In-spite of the sorry state of Ganga pollution in Kashi, the spiritual quotient remains high. Hope, the realization of efforts to make Ganga pristinely clean arrives before it is too late.

We need to realize the real meaning of ablution before taking a dip if the proverb ‘A Morning in Banaras’ (सुबह-ए-बनारस) has to remain alive.
