LIFE - COLORES INFINITUM (29)
Time moves ahead. Life goes on, from a year to the next
one. There is nothing groundbreaking in it except the opportunity on the
timeline of life to retrospect to introspect, that a passing year gives.
Nothing changes in your life during the December 31 to
January 1 transition. Time moves on with every passing day.
But psychologically and intellectually, completion of a
year gives you the point where you can, and you need to take a look back to go
ahead.
Indeed, it is an event where one can take stock of his
accumulated thoughts of moments of introspection, to look at them
retrospectively.
For him, a change in the calendar entries for a defined
cluster of time is that opportunity.
It was a year for him when he could successfully be on the
path to reclaim his ‘self’. After a disaster of March 2010 that had left the life
of his family badly altered, he and other family members are positively on the
way to make things better. Yes, the emotional loss can never be regained but
for other things, they are much more confident now.
His family won the first leg of court fight last year in
the case responsible for that emotional loss. The victory came after many
nervous moments. But there is long fight ahead through the tedious and
intertwined alleys of the Indian judiciary.
Personally, he felt enriched. He wrote regularly. He read
regularly. He could read some good works. He could write on different issues.
He could travel in the time available. Travelling gave him
a concept that he is building further with a friend. It is to further his
travelling.
He watched some really good movies, documentaries and
short films from the world cinema. He feels good every-time when he adds a
‘masterpiece title’ to his growing personal library and passing year gave him
many such moments.
He could initiate the work for his initiatives. Though,
the intense activity on developing the initiatives in the beginning of the year
had to be softened due to the court case, he was able to maintain the required
momentum. And he has already marked the launch events.
He could learn from all the activities throughout the
year.
Personally and emotionally, it is also two years to the
day he had lost a person in him who happened to be his call for every decision.
He was withdrawn and lost for long. Slowly and gradually, he emerged from it.
And he realizes he is stronger now because there are no
ill feelings and negative thoughts. He has been able to reconcile with the loss
by learning to live with it like it happens in every emotional loss (that had become
the inseparable part of the thought process). He knows he is his ‘self’ now
that he used to be before he started ignoring it.
Writing, travelling and reading have been instrumental in
his fight to get his ‘self’ back he realizes now. He has been able to go
inside. He has been able to see the light he was seeking.
It was a year of learning for him. And he knows it has to
be a year of learning for him.
